only one man understood me and even he didn't understand me
his famous last words
////////////////////////////////////////////
short notes
German Philosopher
he had written in German in what he believed in rightful laws which not only believed in individual’s welfare rather of a community as a whole and what they believed to be justice
Objective Realism
Matter doesn't exist in itself, no such thing as prime matter, matter is something with hold the concepts/form/ideas, and these ideas exits and we experience them as concrete reality, so we don't need to think of this as Material but as an idea ( HERE he is not denying the matter, he is just giving more weightage to idea and seeing matter in the context of idea-social, historical, cultural idea) - objective idealism
capitalism v/s corporations
he didn't support poverty rather believed in corporations which was more family like but when these corporations started eradicating other smaller institutions and started ppl out of work, Hegel didn't like it, he called them barbaric moreover Capitalism hadn't formed in England during his times
Dialectic
he was against tyranny, he believed in master and slave bondsman relationship and that ‘a slave enslaves itself’.
slave mentality is something that is self imposed and once you are fighting against this thought process you are no longer a slave hence an identity can only be true if it is fully actualized within the individual
The Absolute + The Absolute Spirit
first term given by shelling which was taken further by Hegel which he called The Absolute Spirit
Spirit & Consciousness
Spirit is the essence of existence
absolute spirit coming to know itself as the consciousness, as the basis of truth and reality so it is god BUT spirit is present throughout all this development hence it is instantiated in every particular event, moving through history until it culminates (reaching its final stage) itself hence all of History, Religion and Philosophy is GOD
